Production Manager [Solutionologist] | Posted 02/06/2026

Job Summary

The Production Manager is a hands-on, execution-focused leader within DI Labs’ Operations team. Acting as the central owner of daily production execution, this role ensures work flows predictably across production cells while building the routines, standards, and system workflows that allow the operation to scale.

This role balances strong floor leadership with system discipline—partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure production priorities are clear, execution is stable, and NetSuite is the trusted system of record for production and inventory.

Success in this role requires clarity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset. The Production Manager sets expectations, reinforces standards, and ensures production decisions are grounded in accurate, timely data.

What Success Looks Like

  • Production commitments are met reliably (build plans, ship dates, internal priorities).
  • Work cells operate with clear priorities, predictable handoffs, and minimal surprises.
  • Rework, scrap, and avoidable schedule churn trend downward over time.
  • Leads actively lead, and operators understand what they are working on, why it matters, and how quality is defined.
  • NetSuite accurately reflects production status, WIP, and inventory.
  • Inventory and material signals are reliable, reducing stockouts and unexpected shortages.
  • A professional, respectful floor culture where issues are surfaced early and addressed constructively.

 Culture at DI Labs

At DI Labs, manufacturing is more than a process—it’s a mindset built on curiosity, humility, adaptability, and extreme ownership. As an ITAR-registered, ISO-certified, and NIST-aligned digital manufacturing company, we rely on disciplined execution while empowering our people to speak up, solve problems, and continuously improve.

Every team member plays a role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and integrity of what we produce. If you’re energized by clarity, accountability, and building systems that make work better every day, you’ll thrive at DI Labs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Production & People Leadership

  • Run daily production direction by work cell, aligning labor to constraints and managing clean handoffs between shifts and functions.
  • Coach and develop Leads and Operators by setting clear expectations for pace, quality, safety, and transaction discipline.
  • Own escalation management by quickly isolating root causes and driving effective countermeasures to closure.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical production activities.

Operating Cadence & Visibility

  • Establish and sustain production rhythms including daily tier meetings, shift handoffs, and weekly capacity reviews.
  • Maintain simple, visible KPIs that reflect production health (schedule adherence, WIP age, backlog, blockers).
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness and fast issue resolution.
  • Ensure ISO 9001–aligned execution through embedded controls, documentation, and review cadence.

Systems Stewardship (MES / ERP / NetSuite)

  • Serve as the translator between floor reality and system workflows, ensuring NetSuite reflects how work actually flows.
  • Drive accurate, timely transactions across production and inventory.
  • Continuously improve system workflows and standards to support stable execution, clear visibility, and scalability.
  • Partner with IT and operations systems owners to prioritize and implement improvements without requiring coding.

Inventory & WIP Integrity

  • Ensure material readiness and accurate consumption signals through disciplined issue/return, substitution, and scrap reporting.
  • Maintain WIP integrity through correct locations, statuses, transfers, and visibility into aging and holds.
  • Coordinate targeted cycle counts and inventory checks to improve accuracy, signal quality, and material reliability over time.
  • Build team understanding of how daily transactions impact purchasing, planning, and customer commitments.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Production leadership experience at the manager level, with demonstrated ability to lead through Leads rather than direct supervision.
  • Experience driving MES/ERP adoption in a manufacturing environment (NetSuite strongly preferred).
  • Ownership of SOPs and production standards, including documentation control and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Strong inventory fundamentals: transactions, locations, WIP, consumption, and cycle counting.
  • Strong operational discipline, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to independently analyze operational data using reports, saved searches, and dashboards (no coding required).

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-mix or variable-demand manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing or stabilizing standard work and tiered management routines.
  • Exposure to manufacturing quality systems (NCR/MRB flow, inspection points, containment mindset).
