October 11, 2019: The team at DI Labs is proud to announce the acquisition of 3D printing startup, Advocate 3D, a full-service prototyping service bureau located southwest of the Minneapolis metro. The move allows DI Labs to grow its technology portfolio and expand its client base throughout the Midwest.
“We purchased Advocate 3D because the owner, Adam Stegeman, built a thriving business known for excellent customer service. That made it a great culture fit for us,” says Carl Douglass, DI Labs Co-founder and President.
DI Labs is a full-service product development and digital manufacturing firm founded in 2013 and located in Spicer, Minnesota. Just two years ago they were the first company in Minnesota to purchase one of 3D printing’s most advanced pieces of commercial technologies. It was a bold move that placed them at the forefront of innovation by augmenting their engineering and new product development services with high-performance rapid prototyping and digital manufacturing.
This acquisition is just the latest in a series of DI Labs growth initiatives that have included expanding their technical team and adding capabilities such as 3D scanning, full-color digital manufacturing and metal plating.
